A new project has been approved to help visitors to the UAE get health insurance when they apply for a tourist visa, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) announced on Monday (July 22). According to the ICP, the Health Insurance for Tourist Visas project will help visitors get their health insurance policy while applying for their visa online through the ICP website or app. Major-General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director-General of ICP, said the project aims to offer medical coverage to tourists in case of emergency, and will also regulate the market by automating the process of getting a health insurance through an online platform that manages insurance pricing and issuance.
