The lifting of mandatory face masks has been applauded by school administrators, who believe it will benefit children's development. Masks will no longer be required in schools across the country beginning Wednesday. The requirements are part of a significant overhaul of coronavirus regulations. According to regulators, face masks are no longer required in private schools in the UAE after the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority eased Covid-19 restrictions on Monday. The Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi announced that it would adopt the new standards. Masks will only be required exclusively in places of worship, hospitals, and public transportation beginning Wednesday (September 28).
