Investigations by the UAE Public Prosecution have exposed a new, secret organisation linked to the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood, authorities have announced. The secret group aimed to revive the Muslim Brotherhood and was established by runaway members of the "Reform Call" in UAE, a terrorist group dissolved in 2013, according to the probe. An arrested member has confessed and detailed how the group led smear campaigns against the UAE. A detailed Public Prosecution investigation into the confession is underway. The State Security Service revealed that these fugitives convened abroad and recruited new members to revive the Muslim Brotherhood. The new organisation was financed by sources from the UAE and various international terrorist groups. Investigations revealed that the organization formed alliances with other terrorists and engaged in media, economic, and educational activities to strengthen ties, secure funding, uphold presence and enhance protection abroad. One of the affiliates is the Cordoba Foundation (TCF), which is headed by Anas Altikriti, a Muslim Brotherhood leader based abroad. Altikriti and TCF were known to organize protests against UAE embassies. The fugitive members secretly communicated through internet apps and visits. The structure and activities of this group were elaborated on the confession of one of the arrested members. This included smear campaigns, hate speech, and financing of terrorism. The group also cooperated with foreign intelligence to destabilize the state's security.
