UAE begins implementation of Emiratisation fines on companies
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has begun implementing the ministerial resolution on private sector compliance with Emiratisation legislation. “In line with the UAE Cabinet Resolution to raise Emiratisation rates, Mohre started applying financial contributions to private sector companies for failing to achieve the 2 per cent Emiratisation targets stipulated for 2022, to reach 10 per cent by the end of 2026,” the ministry tweeted on Friday. Organizations with more than 50 employees must attain an Emiratisation rate of 2% for specialized jobs to avoid penalties. Non-compliant firms would be fined Dh6,000 per month for each UAE national who is not appointed. Fines should be paid in a single installment.
