Mohamed Alabbar at the 1 Billion Followers Summit in Dubai. 1 BILLION FOLLOWERS SUMMIT

Billionaire Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Emaar Properties, has announced a unique opportunity for the public to tackle two pressing challenges. Speaking at the 1 Billion Followers. Summit in Dubai, Alabbar pledged an “incredible reward” and the possibility of a job contract for anyone presenting effective solutions. The challenges revolve around increasing global tourism to Downtown Dubai and addressing the worldwide housing shortage, an issue close to Alabbar’s heart. Alabbar is determined to make Downtown Dubai the most-visited location in the world, surpassing its current figure of 150 million annual visitors. He called for innovative proposals for a year-long marketing campaign to achieve this ambitious goal. “I want ideas that are fresh, bold, and authentic,” Alabbar said. “Downtown Dubai must be a beacon for global tourism.” The second challenge focuses on tackling the housing crisis affecting 1.8 million people globally. Reflecting on his modest upbringing in a single room shared with 13 siblings, Alabbar urged participants to propose solutions that could transform housing accessibility. “We need a global hub to address housing shortages. This is a human issue, not just an economic one,” he emphasized. During the session, Alabbar offered life lessons from his own career, urging the audience to embrace partnerships and resilience. “I started at 17 and only found success in my late 30s. Hard work and learning from failures are key,” he advised. ICA/Expat Media
