UAE citizens can now travel visa-free to Kosovo after the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday (January 11). Holders of UAE passports that are valid for at least six months are exempt from getting an entry visa to Kosovo, and can stay in the country for up to 90 days per visit. Under the same agreement, Kosovo citizens can also enter the UAE visa-free. The MoU was signed by Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Xhabir Hamiti, Ambassador of Kosovo to the UAE. This year, the UAE retained its position for having the world’s most powerful passport, according to the Passport Index 2024. The UAE bested Germany, Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands, which came in second place, and Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Austria and Switzerland in third place. UAE passport holders can enter 180 countries, including 120 countries without prior visa, and 50 countries with e-visa or visa on arrival. ICA/Expat Media
