Online service if passport lost while performing Umrah

UAE citizens can now process a return document online if passports are lost, damaged, or expired while performing Umrah, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) affirmed. The said electronic service issues new documents in less than 30 minutes. According to MoFAIC, there are three steps to follow to be able to benefit from the service: Log in with a digital identity, Apply for the service electronically, and Attach the required documents. The applicant can then receive the electronic return document via email. To complete the steps, applicants must go through the UAEMoFAIC mobile application or via the website of the Ministry -Department of Individual Services Issuance of a return document. Furthermore, to obtain the service in the event of losing the passport, the applicant must attach a copy of the lost passport, a copy of the losing report, and a recent personal photo. In cases where the passport has expired, the applicant has to attach a copy of the expired passport and a personal photo. However, if an applicant has a damaged passport, they only need to comply with a copy of the damaged passport. Applicants must complete the forms correctly and attach all required documents with a personal photo. The ministry indicated that some applications might require approval from the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Costumes, and Ports Security (ICP). RZSP/Expat Media
