DUBAI – Anyone who comes in contact with a Covid-19 patient must self-isolate, a UAE official advised as the number of new coronavirus cases continued to climb daily. "If you come in contact with a patient who has tested positive, you must self-isolate even if you have had a negative result yourself," said Dr. Farida Al Hosani, spokeswoman for the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention. The spokeswoman said that 88 percent of Covid-19 cases are caused by mass gatherings, weddings, parties and in the workplaces. "On August 10, it was just 179 new cases, and in one month only, we exceeded 900 new infections, five times the infection rate," she said.
