An Al Ain businessman who sued an animal dealer, claiming a Dh125,000 for selling him five camels unfit for racing, dismissed his lawsuit on appeal. The Al Ain Court of Appeal confirmed a previous decision by the Court of First Instance, which dismissed the man's case based on an expert report. The man filed a lawsuit, requesting the court cancel their sales agreement. He also demanded that the camel merchant repay the Dh125,000 he paid for selling his camels. According to the businessman's lawsuit, the camel merchant stated in his lawsuit that he owned several race camels on his farm. The man said the dealer sold him five racing camels at a price of Dh125,000. He alleged that the dealer also borrowed Dh5,000 from him, which he disputed and said was part of the expenses for selling the camels. The complainant claims that after purchasing the camels, he realized they were not worth the purchase price because they were unsuitable for racing. The man said experts in the camel racing field said the animals were unfit to compete in races because their age had exceeded the preparation stage.
