Following a heated argument, a young man was ordered to pay his brother Dh10,000 in compensation for his injuries. The Abu Dhabi Family and Civil Administrative Claims Court ordered the man, who is in his early twenties, to pay the amount as compensation for his brother's material and moral damages. According to court documents, the man filed a case against his brother, seeking that he pay him Dh100,000 in compensation for the material and moral harm caused by the beatings. He claimed that the defendant assaulted him severely, causing wounds to his body and compromising his integrity. According to a medical assessment, the victim suffered many injuries to his face and other body parts. The man had previously been convicted of beating his brother and fined Dh5,000 by the Criminal Court of First Instance. The victim subsequently filed a claim for compensation against his brother. The civil claims judge ordered the guy to pay Dh10,000 in damages after hearing from all parties. The man was also ordered to pay the plaintiff's legal fees.
