In a historic initiative, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has declared 2025 as the Year of Community under the theme “Hand in Hand.” The national initiative seeks to strengthen social bonds and promote collaboration among citizens and residents. The campaign aims to preserve Emirati cultural heritage, foster intergenerational connections, and create inclusive spaces for shared experiences. It also encourages active participation in community service and volunteering. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, and Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will oversee the initiative. A series of events will be launched to reinforce community cohesion and Emirati values. “This initiative celebrates the diversity of the UAE while fostering unity and progress,” said Sheikh Mohamed. The Year of Community also emphasizes innovation, skill development, and entrepreneurship. By nurturing talent and focusing on emerging industries, the initiative aligns with the UAE’s national priorities.
