UAE assists displaced Ukrainian and refugees in Ukraine

As part of its humanitarian assistance operations to assist people in Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates sent an airplane carrying 30 tonnes of emergency health aid and medical supplies on Monday (March 7). This was in response to a global humanitarian call to help displaced Ukrainians and refugees in neighboring countries. So far, there are about 1.2 million and more refugees. The plane arrived in Lublin, Poland, where the medical and relief supplies were handed over to Ukrainian authorities for transfer to Ukraine. According to Salem A Al Kaabi, the UAE‘s Ambassador to Ukraine, that, sending an aircraft with medical supplies and relief aid is part of the UAE’s steadfast commitment to essential humanitarian needs in conflicts involving civilians, especially women and children, and to provide whatever assistance we can in what is a deteriorating humanitarian situation. He also reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to a humanitarian strategy that supports the provision of emergency response and relief to people in need, which is a core element of the UAE leadership's pledge to stand by all peoples of the globe in the face of any humanitarian crisis. These ideals are a demonstration and extension of the UAE's Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's, dedication to generosity, tolerance, and serving humanity as a whole, without distinction or prejudice.
