Rain, dusty conditions forecast in parts of UAE, with unstable weather in coastal areas

  DUBAI – If you have any respiratory ailment and living in the northern and eastern parts of the emirate, it would be best for you to stay indoors or wear a face mask if you need to go out as weathermen said dusty conditions will prevail on Wednesday and in the next two days. However, rain may fall on the emirate on Thursday and Friday that will surely give a respite to residents. The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said northeasterly and northwesterly winds are blowing over the emirate and will be strong at times in the northern and eastern parts of the country. The weather agency mentioned in particular Ras Al Khaimah and adjacent areas where dusty conditions will be experienced on  Wednesday and Thursday while unstable weather "will be limited to coastal areas and over the island due to a low pressure area." The center also cautioned coastal residents in the northern parts of the Arabian Gulf extending until Dubai and the Oman Sea about rough to very rough waters with offshore waves reaching 7 to 10 feet from Wednesday until Friday. As for the temperature, forecaster said there will no significant decrease as coastal areas will have an average temperature of 28 to 30 degrees Celsius while the mountainous areas will have 23 to 26 degrees temperature. Meanwhile, the weather center said "clouds will start increasing on Wednesday in northern and eastern UAE that will gradually cover coastal areas between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, thus rain will be more at the area but may also reach the cities.
