His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, visited Egyptian President Abdul Fattah El Sisi at Cairo's Al-Ittihadiya Presidential Palace. The summit, which symbolizes the two countries' determination to strengthen their relationship further, coincides with the UAE and Egypt's 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations. The 50th anniversary of relations is commemorated in Cairo from October 26-28 under the theme 'Egypt and the UAE... One Heart.' His Highness and President El Sisi reviewed the UAE-Egypt bilateral relationship and discussed measures to strengthen collaboration between the two countries in various areas. President El Sisi expressed his appreciation for the support extended by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid to Egypt, which highlights the strong historical, economic, and cultural ties that bind the two nations. Sheikh Mohammed stated that Egypt was one of the first countries to voice its support for the formation of the UAE shortly after the declaration of the Union. He noted that the UAE had a strong bond with the people of Egypt, which he defined as the cradle of human civilization and the great home of the Arab people. President El Sisi welcomed His Highness to Egypt, stating that the two countries' bilateral ties are firmly anchored in history and shared culture. He expressed gratitude for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid's support for Egypt, enabling the two countries' relationship to grow gradually over the years. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid also extended an invitation to President El Sisi for Egypt to be the 'Guest of Honor' at the next World Government Summit hosted by Dubai in February 2023.
