The team in Chad comprises the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, and the UAE's aid coordination office.

In cooperation with the UAE's aid coordination office in Chad, the Emirati humanitarian teams keep up its efforts to provide food packs to Sudanese refugees and the local population in Amdjarass. The team visited the village of Jouni in Amdjarass on Saturday (August 12) and provided food parcels to underprivileged families while being accompanied by leaders from Emirati foreign affairs and humanitarian organizations. Mohammed Siri, the mayor of Jouni, and Ezzedin Dawood, the head of the city's municipality, greeted the delegation. Over 15,000 people, including Sudanese refugees and local families, received 2,500 food packs from the Emirati humanitarian team, according to Mohammed Salem Al Ameri of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation. He added that UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is always proactive in providing aid and supporting friendly countries, following in the footsteps of the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The team has increased its recent efforts to help Sudanese refugees and the local community. Siri praised the UAE for its kind humanitarian efforts and praised the team's efforts to get out to isolated locations in Chad, like their village, and assist those in need.
