Indian nationals holding visas from the US, UK, and EU will now enjoy easier entry into the UAE, thanks to a new expansion announced by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP). The exemption now includes tourist visa holders for these regions, allowing extended stays in the UAE, provided the visas and passports are valid for at least six months. Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of ICP, emphasized that the move aligns with the UAE's strategic partnership with India. “This decision reflects the UAE leadership’s commitment to enhancing trade and economic relations, while also positioning the UAE as a global hub for tourism and economic activity,” Al Khaili said. Indian nationals holding tourist visas can now extend their stay in the UAE beyond the initial visa period by paying the prescribed fees. The visa extension policy aims to attract capital, entrepreneurs, and talents, further boosting the UAE's economy. In addition to the visa exemption, the UAE has revised its visa fee structure for Indian nationals. The cost of a 14-day entry visa is set at Dh100, while extensions for an additional 14 days will cost Dh250. A 60-day visa will now be available for Dh250 as well. As part of its comprehensive efforts to streamline the visa application process, the UAE Digital Government has also introduced four digital channels for applying for various entry and residence visas, including Golden Residency and Green Residency visas. These channels are available through online platforms and mobile applications such as the GDRFA Dubai website and the "Dubai Now" app. This initiative is expected to strengthen the already robust relationship between India and the UAE, making travel and business opportunities more accessible to Indian nationals.
