UAE: Foggy weather expected to continue over the weekend

On Friday morning, thick fog blanketed several areas in the UAE. Due to the poor visibility, the police in Dubai issued a safety warning to drivers throughout the emirate. In a tweet, the Dubai Police Department urged drivers to exercise caution owing to the reduced visibility brought on by the weather condition. Despite the low visibility, there were no reported flight delays at Dubai International Airport. According to the National Centre of Meteorology, the foggy weather is expected to last until Saturday. “Fair in general and partly cloudy at times. Low clouds will appear over the eastern coast by morning,” the forecast said. “Humid by night and Saturday morning with probability of fog or mist formation over some coastal and internal areas.” Fog is predicted from 11 pm on Friday until 8:30 am on Saturday, according to NCM, urging drivers to continue practicing caution while driving to work. Experts predict high temperatures in Dubai and Abu Dhabi through Sunday, with highs of 42 degrees and lows of 28 degrees. The winds will be mild to intense, and the dust will blow during the day.
