A car rental company filed a lawsuit against a former employee for allegedly stealing Dh102,000. According to the company, the defendant was still an employee when he embezzled the money. He was in charge of collecting money from automobile rental customers. It went on to say that the accused caused the company financial losses by failing to collect fines from clients who had committed traffic and Salik violations. The man refuted the charges and stated there was no proof to back them up. After hearing from all parties, the Al Ain Court of First Instance rejected the lawsuit due to a lack of evidence. In its verdict, the court stated that the plaintiff failed to produce any evidence to prove that the employee's task was to collect the stipulated amount of money from consumers. It went on to say that the financial loss was caused by their error and incompetence in collecting bills. The rental car company has been ordered to pay the defendant's legal fees. BKM/ Expat Media
