UAE fuel prices to cost 5% more in May 2023 Fuel prices in the UAE will be costlier by 5 percent in May, the highest price increase so far in 2023. Only the price of diesel will see a slight decrease. The new fuel prices will take effect starting Monday (May 1), and follows an increase in global oil prices, the UAE Fuel Price Committee announced on Sunday (April 30). Oil-producing countries, such as the UAE, Russia, Algeria and the GCC, announced a reduction in oil production output last April, which caused oil prices to increase.
