An Arab national gang who stole oil and electrical equipment worth around Dh3 million from the contemporary industrial area in Umm Al Tha'oub was arrested by the police. Colonel Saeed Obaid bin Arran, Director of CID, stated that a team was created from the Comprehensive Salamah Police Station as soon as the complaint was received. The crew was able to identify and arrest all of the gang members within 24 hours. During interrogation, they admitted to the theft and provided information about the stolen things. They sold some of it to a scrap yard and kept the remainder in a warehouse in one of the emirates' industrial areas. The remainder of the products were recovered by police and returned to the owner. The Department of Criminal Investigation Director urged the company owners to protect the materials and commodities in secure areas and install the appropriate safeguards. BKM/ Expat Media
