Zayed's Legacy To Support Yemeni People launched in Al Mukalla

  ABU DHABI - The UAE official Hajj Mission has began distributing 153,000 means to pilgrims in memory of the country's founder – the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. This as Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, ordered the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) to launch the Zayed's Legacy to Support Yemeni People in Al Mukalla, Hadramut, in honor of the Yemeni people, especially families of martyrs and the wounded. The campaign will provide the families with Eid clothing, gifts for the children, cash, and vouchers to purchase necessities for Eid Al Adha. Dr. Mohammed Matar Al Kaabi, Awqaf chairman and head of the UAE's Hajj Mission, said the 153,000 meals would be distributed in several batches to pilgrims who come from all parts of the world. Al Kaabi also said 20,000 meals have been handed out in Medina while 50,000 meals would be given to pilgrims on the Day of Arafah, in addition to 30,000 meals in Muzdalifah. Another 50,000 meals will be distributed in the Mina camps during Tashriq days, he added. Meanwhile, an ERC delegation visited the families of Yemeni martyrs and gave them vouchers to purchase what they need for Eid Al Adha. Ahmed Al Neyadi, head of the ERC team in Hadramaut, said the campaign "embodies the UAE's approach for humanitarian and developmental aid" and is also meant as "a gesture to bring happiness to the families of martyrs and the wounded in Yemen."
