The UAE Ministry of Defence held a solemn military funeral for four Emirati servicemen who lost their lives in the line of duty. The ceremony took place at Zayed Military Hospital in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday (September 25), where high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Defence, alongside the families of the martyrs, gathered to pay their respects. The four martyrs were identified as Ahmed Mohamed Rashid Al Shehhi, Nahyan Abdullah Ahmed Al Marzouqi, Abdulaziz Saeed Al Teneiji, and Nasser Mohammed Yousof Al Baloushi. The soldiers were killed during an accident while performing their duties on September 24. In addition to the fatalities, nine other servicemen were injured and are currently receiving medical treatment. On Thursday (September 26), Matar Salem Al Dhaheri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence, said that the soldiers were transporting ammunition inside one of the camps in the UAE when the incident happened. The Ministry of Defence expressed its deepest condolences to the bereaved families, offering prayers for the swift recovery of the injured and eternal mercy for the souls of the martyrs. The ministry hailed the soldiers as "heroes of the nation" and extended heartfelt sorrow for their loss. While the details of the accident remain undisclosed, the incident has left a deep impact on the nation, with many citizens paying tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the fallen soldiers.
