The UAE is set to host a new cycling challenge on Jebel Jais, the country’s highest peak on April 12. Known for its winding mountain roads and stunning scenery, Jebel Jais is one of the most popular cycling destinations in the region, and this race promises to be an exciting test of endurance for cyclists of all levels. The race, named Jais Ride, will cover a 25-kilometer course that ascends the mountain’s dramatic switchbacks. Competitors will face a challenging climb, with strategic checkpoints and sprint segments along the way. The event will feature multiple prize categories, including a total of Dh10,000 in prizes for the top finishers. “This race is an exciting opportunity for cyclists to challenge themselves on one of the most scenic and difficult cycling routes in the region,” said Raki Phillips, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority. “We are committed to establishing Ras Al Khaimah as a premier destination for adventure sports, and this event highlights the natural beauty of the emirate.” The race will feature several competitive categories, including the Green Jersey Award for the fastest sprinter, the King of the Mountain (KOM) points, and the prestigious Yellow Jersey for the overall winners. Participants can register online for a hassle-free sign-up process and enjoy complimentary refreshments on race day.
