The UAE is ringing in 2025 with special New Year’s Eve events dedicated to workers across the country, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) announced on Thursday (December 26). Organized by MOHRE in collaboration with various government entities, the initiative aims to celebrate the vital contributions of the labor force. Spanning 10 locations across the UAE, the events on December 31 will feature sports tournaments, cultural performances, and live entertainment, creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie. Highlights include song and dance performances, competitions, and raffle draws, with prizes that promise to add excitement to the festivities. "These events are a gesture of appreciation for the tireless efforts of our workers," said a MOHRE spokesperson. Some celebrations will be held within labor accommodations, thanks to partnerships with companies like Emirates Global Aluminum, Fujairah National Construction, and Khansaheb Contracting.
