The UAE has announced a major initiative to create 1,700 new jobs for Emiratis in Al Ain’s financial and banking sector by 2026. The Nafis Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council unveiled the plan in collaboration with the Central Bank of the UAE. The program, spearheaded by Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain, aims to accelerate the UAE’s Emiratisation goals. “This initiative will empower Emirati job seekers and strengthen their presence in the private sector,” said Khaled Mohamed Balama, Governor of the Central Bank of the UAE. Top banks, including Emirates NBD, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, and HSBC, will play a key role in providing employment and training opportunities. The initiative aligns with the UAE’s vision to enhance local workforce participation and boost economic resilience. Emirati candidates will have access to tailored training programs, fostering skills essential for the evolving financial industry.
