So what higher education courses should students take to ensure that they are quickly hired? “If you ask me you should take an IT course because there is always new technology involved and things move very fast,” Yusof said, adding that universities in Malaysia offer various IT courses. The consul general also encouraged students in the UAE to consider studying in Malaysia, saying that the country’s multi-racial and religious tolerance makes it easier for foreign students to adjust and “feel at home”. Why is it better to study and live in Malaysia? “The first reason is the cost. The cost of living and the cost of education everything are affordable. Some can even go less than half of what you are paying in the UAE. The cost of living, cost of education together with the quality of life is what you need as a student,” he said, adding that courses offered in Malaysia are globally recognized.
