The UAE's first regulated lottery, The UAE Lottery, has been officially launched, offering a groundbreaking Dh100-million grand prize. The inaugural live draw, named "Lucky Day," is set for December 14, marking a significant milestone in the country’s gaming industry, according to The Game LLC, an Abu Dhabi-based operator licensed by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA). Tickets for the UAE Lottery are now available on The UAE Lottery’s website, with additional opportunities for participants to win. Seven Lucky Chance ID holders are guaranteed to win Dh100,000 each, while scratch cards offering prizes up to Dh1 million are also on sale. Organizers have highlighted a commitment to creating a fair, transparent, and responsible lottery experience. Speaking at the launch, Bishop Woosley, Director of Lottery Operations at The Game LLC, emphasized the operator’s dedication to international standards. "We aim to create exciting experiences while promoting responsible play,” Woosley said. “Following a rigorous GCGRA evaluation, our team remains committed to ensuring fairness and transparency from the draw process to the selection of winners." The UAE Lottery introduces a variety of games designed for residents aged 18 and above. According to Woosley, these games leverage advanced technology and insights from global gaming experts to create an innovative yet secure platform for participants. “This initiative sets a benchmark for regulated gaming in the region," Woosley added. "We are not only offering life-changing prizes but also prioritizing responsible gaming practices to ensure the safety of our participants.” The lottery is being positioned as a significant step forward in the UAE's evolving approach to entertainment and regulated gaming. Industry analysts view this launch as a calculated effort to align with global trends in gaming while maintaining stringent local regulatory standards. Residents have already shown enthusiasm for the initiative. “The Dh100-million grand prize is an exciting opportunity,” Lilyn Alcantara, a resident of Dubai, told Expat Media. “Knowing it’s regulated gives me confidence to participate—it feels secure and credible.” The inaugural draw on December 14 will be live-streamed, with organizers encouraging participants to purchase tickets early.
