Municipal teams across the UAE have launched a large-scale clean-up operation after heavy rains caused flooding in several cities. Authorities deployed crews to pump water from roads and residential areas, working around the clock to restore normal conditions. Sharjah was among the hardest-hit areas, with flooding reported in multiple locations. Police were seen assisting motorists stranded in waterlogged streets. In Abu Dhabi, flooding was reported in parts of the city centre, although many residents continued their daily routines, taking advantage of the cooler weather. In Dubai, traffic disruptions were reported near the Sharjah border and around the airport. Airlines advised passengers to arrive early, although only a limited number of flight delays were recorded. Key roads, including Umm Suqeim Street, parts of Business Bay and Deira, experienced heavy congestion due to water accumulation. Authorities said the storm was less severe than initially feared, with no major wind damage reported. Municipal teams in Ajman confirmed they are operating a 24-hour response plan, with crews deployed across the emirate to ensure public safety.
