The UAE’s top leaders have extended their congratulations to Donald Trump on his victory in the 2024 US presidential election. UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent a message congratulating Trump on his return to office, highlighting the historic ties and shared aspirations between the two nations. UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, along with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, sent similar messages of goodwill to the newly elected president. Trump defeated Democrat Kamala Harris in a closely watched race, clinching 312 electoral votes compared to Harris' 226 electoral votes. His campaign promises include substantial policy changes, such as extending his 2017 tax cuts and rolling back various regulations. Trump's victory also marks him as the second US president to serve two non-consecutive terms, a distinction previously held only by Grover Cleveland.
