The UAE government has lifted all COVID-19-related restrictions and precautionary measures effective Monday (November 7). "Today we announce the cancellation of all restrictions and precautionary measures related to COVID-19," the authorities said. 'Wearing a facemask will be optional in all open and closed facilities, including places of worship and mosques, except for health facilities and facilities and centers for people of determination," the announcement added. Authorities also announced the optional prayer on the personal carpet in mosques and chapels, as it is no longer mandatory after the date of activating the decision. The Al-Hosn application will now be limited to proof of vaccination certificates and test results obtained inside and outside the country upon request. Green passes will no longer be required to enter public places. The authorities reassured that the health sector would continue to monitor the situation and conduct active investigations in all regions of the country. BKM/ Expat Media
