UAE: Long Eid break for public sector employees

UAE federal government employees will have a total of 9 days break for Eid Al Fitr, with the UAE Cabinet announcing a 7-day Eid Al Fitr holiday for the government sector and the addition of the two-day weekend.

According to the UAE Cabinet, Eid Al Fitr holidays for the federal government will be from April 8 (Monday) until April 14 (Sunday). Work will resume on April 15 (Monday). The preceding weekend falls on April 6 and 7, making the Eid Al Fitr holidays a total of nine days.
