Winning the UAE Lottery’s massive Dh100 million jackpot may be rare, but officials say it's only a matter of time before someone takes home the grand prize. Bishop Woosley, Director of Lottery Operations at The Game, which runs the UAE Lottery, acknowledged the long odds but remained optimistic. “We believe that someone in the UAE will eventually win the jackpot,” he said. Currently, the odds of winning the grand prize stand at one in over 8 million. However, in just four draws, more than 60,000 participants have won various cash prizes, including 41 winners of Dh100,000 each and one lucky winner of Dh1 million. The UAE Lottery, the country’s first government-regulated lottery, was launched late last year under the oversight of the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA). While tickets are currently available only through the UAE Lottery’s official website, the company is in the process of expanding sales through vending machines and scratch cards at supermarkets, convenience stores, and fuel stations. The timeline for this expansion has not yet been announced. “The plan is to roll out retail sales gradually,” a spokesperson for The Game confirmed. “Stores selling tickets will have clear marketing materials to inform customers about the availability of lottery products.” Each ticket provides a chance to win cash prizes ranging from Dh100 to Dh100 million. Additionally, scratch cards offer top prizes of up to Dh1 million. Draws are held every 14 days on Saturdays, with results announced through the UAE Lottery’s website and social media channels.
