A man has been arrested, and two others are wanted, for stealing a Lamborghini worth Dh1.1 million from a parking lot in the Dubai Marina region after falsifying ownership documentation. According to police records, an investor recently reported his vehicle stolen from a private parking lot in a Marina area. He said that he had traveled outside the country and could not find his luxury car in the location where he had left it when he returned. A police official noted during the inquiry that multiple allegations of luxury vehicle theft had been received in other emirates, so a squad was formed to investigate this. The first suspect, a Gulf man, who planned the robbery, was apprehended. His two Asian-descent accomplices are still at large, and authorities are looking for them. After establishing the absence of their owners, the first accused admitted to conspiring with the other two to take luxury vehicles that had been left inside the buildings for long periods. The men were convicted by the Dubai Criminal Court and sentenced to three years in prison and a fine, with the possibility of deportation.
