A woman filed a lawsuit against her lover, claiming that he faked his death to avoid getting married to her and repaying the Dh215,000 that he allegedly borrowed from her. He explained to her that he had a huge debt and cancer and needed money to travel for treatment abroad. As a result, she agreed to lend him Dh215,000, which he agreed to repay. But as soon as he had the money, he started avoiding her and turned off his phone. The woman claimed that when the defendant's brother later told her that her partner had passed away. As a result, she demanded that he pay back the Dh215,000 she had loaned him in the Abu Dhabi Family and Civil Administrative Cases Court. Throughout his court case, the man denied borrowing money from the woman. After hearing from both parties, the judge dropped the case because the woman had not provided enough proof to show that she had lent the defendant the money. The woman was ruled out to pay for the defendant's legal expenses.
