The Al Ain Civil, Commercial and Administrative Cases Court has ordered a man to repay Dh4,000 after he failed to secure a job and accommodation for a woman in exchange for Dh8,000. According to court records, the woman's brother had initially paid Dh4,000 as a down payment for visa and job facilitation for her. However, the defendant failed to complete the promised arrangements, leading the plaintiff to seek legal recourse. In his complaint, the brother claimed damages totaling Dh26,000, citing costs including Dh5,000 for airfare, Dh2,000 for a tourist visa, and Dh15,000 in rent. The man acknowledged receiving the Dh4,000 but said that his company could not complete the transaction due to uncontrollable circumstances. The court rejected the additional compensation claims, citing insufficient grounds, but ruled in favor of the woman's brother regarding the initial amount.
