UAE: Man sued for taking his friend’s car without consent, racking up Dh62,300 traffic fines

A 28-year-old man sued his friend and demanded Dh62,300 in restitution for traffic violations after the latter used the former's car. The complainant claimed in front of the Al Ain Court of First Instance that his friend had used his 2014 Range Rover without his consent and had caused damage to the vehicle and other people's property. The plaintiff added that he discovered reckless driving violations worth Dh55,000 and other offenses, which led him to file the case.
