A man sued his female colleague for harming his reputation after she sued him for insulting and beating her. The man demanded Dh250,000 in compensation for the moral and material damages. The complainant claimed in his lawsuit that he helped the defendant with her finances. He said he lent some money to the woman, but she returned it only after he filed a report against her. The man was shocked when the woman accused him of hitting and insulting her at work. The Court acquitted him of the charges due to lack of evidence. The man sued the woman in Abu Dhabi's Family and Civil Administrative Claims Court for false accusations. The Arab man stated he's a reputable community member and at work. He added that the baseless claims against him damaged his reputation. The Court dismissed the claim after hearing from all parties, saying there was no evidence of reputation injury.
