Rulers cite prosperity, economic development of the country

  DUBAI – Shaikh Kalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan led members of the ruling family and government officials in the celebration of the country's 45th National Day on Friday. In a meeting at the Union House in Dubai, Bin Zayed noted that the UAE is in its strongest and most prosperous phase." The Union House incidentally is the same place where the founding fathers of the UAE met 45 years ago. Bin Zayed and Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice president and prime minister and ruler of Dubai, and other members of the royal family and government officials renewed their pledge to the UAE and its people "to tirelessly strengthen the union." At the end of the meeting at the Union House, the country's rulers expressed gratitude to all leaders and citizens in celebrating UAE's National Day. Meanwhile, Bin Zayed and members of the Supreme Council raised the UAE flag in the same spot where the UAE founders first hoisted it. Bin Zayed lauded the economic prosperity enjoyed by the UAE.
