The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) in the UAE has released a list of the top 12 labor complaints that employees and employers can report to the authority. The move is part of MOHRE's efforts to tackle violations in the labor market and ensure compliance with employment regulations. The ministry has encouraged individuals and companies to report any breaches through its various channels to protect workers' rights and maintain a fair labor environment. The 12 labor complaints include issues such as fake Emiratisation, non-compliance with Emiratisation regulations, sexual harassment, non-disbursement of end-of-service benefits or salaries, working overtime for more than two hours, and failure to provide annual leave, cash compensation, or the option to carry over leave. Other violations include breaches in worker rights, labor accommodation violations, health and safety requirement breaches, midday break violations, forced labor, human trafficking, and work injuries. MOHRE has provided multiple channels for reporting complaints, including its call center (600590000), the MOHRE UAE app, and its official website. To file a complaint through the app, users can select "Add Violation" from the services menu and complete the necessary steps. For the website, individuals can go to the "Services" section, click on "Add Complaint," choose the complaint type, and follow the steps to submit their report. “Help us tackle any violations in the labour market and file your complaints via these channels," according to MOHRE in a recent advisory. By actively encouraging the reporting of these labor violations, MOHRE aims to enhance the transparency and accountability of the labor market in the UAE.
