Eligible Indian nationals will now be able to get visas on arrival in the UAE, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) announced on Thursday (October 17). Indian nationals with tourist visas to the UK and EU countries can now obtain a visa on arrival. This privilege was previously limited to individuals with tourist or resident visas to the US, or residents of the UK and EU. This is applicable, provided that the applicant's visa and passport are both valid for a minimum of six months. The authority has also released an updated fee schedule for its services. Indian nationals and their family members, who possess visas, residencies, or green cards from the US, EU countries, or the UK, can obtain a 14-day entry visa for Dh100. Extending this visa for an additional 14 days will cost Dh250. A 60-day visa is available for Dh250. Maj-Gen Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, director-general of the ICP, said that expanding the visa-on-arrival option for certain Indian nationals supports the UAE's strategic partnership with India.
