Filipinos are integral part of emirates, says UAE official

  DUBAI – A UAE official praised Filipino expatriates in the UAE, calling them an “integral part” of the country through their work and culture. In a video released by the Philippine Embassy in the UAE, Noura Bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, also sent Christmas greetings to the community. “We in the UAE admire the work, culture and the ever friendly and smiling nature of our brothers and sisters from the Philippines. You have become an integral part of our social fabric,” Al Kaabi said. The UAE minister also reminded Filipino expats in the UAE to observe Christmas as an "occasion for giving, kindness and benevolence". “After an entire year fighting a pandemic, it should be an occasion for us all to replenish our hearts with positive energy and optimism,” she said. The Christmas greeting also included a music video of popular Filipino songs performed by the St. Mary’s Filipino Community Choir in the UAE.
