UAE passport retains rank as world’s most powerful passport

The UAE’s passport has retained its rank has the most powerful passport in the world, following new visa exemptions. Holders of the UAE passport can enter 175 countries, including 119 countries where no prior visa is necessary. UAE passport holders can also enter 56 countries with visa on arrival or online visa. This means that UAE passport holders can enter more than 88 percent of the world’s countries, according to the latest Passport Index. In second place are passports of Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland, which grant entry to 171 countries without prior visa. In third place are passports of Belgium, Denmark, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal and the United States, which allow holders entry to 170 countries without prior visa. In fourth place are passports of Australia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, and the United Kingdom, which grant holders entry to 169 countries without prior visa.
