Fueling up got more expensive in the UAE this year, with consumers noting a 25 percent increase in fuel prices in 2023. The UAE’s Fuel Price Committee sets fuel prices on a monthly basis, depending on the global demand. Fuel prices in the UAE have been increasing since June. As of October, Special 95 costs Dh3.33 per litre, reflecting a 24.7 percent increase from its price of Dh2.67 in January. Super 98 increased by 23.7 percent since January, while E-plus increased by 10.5 percent. Diesel prices also increased by 8.5 percent. October reflects the highest fuel price increase in the UAE so far. The prices of petrol were at their lowest in June, with E-Plus at Dh2.76 per litre, Special 95 at Dh2.84 per litre, Super 98 at Dh2.95 per litre and diel at Dh2.68 per litre.
