Fuel prices in the UAE have been updated for May 2025, with a minor increase for petrol and a noticeable drop for diesel, according to the UAE Fuel Price Committee. Starting Thursday (May 1), drivers across the UAE will pay the following per litre: • Super 98: Dh2.58 (up from Dh2.57 in April) • Special 95: Dh2.47 (up from Dh2.46 in April) • E-Plus 91: Dh2.39 (up from Dh2.38 in April) • Diesel: Dh2.52 (down from Dh2.63 in April) The announcement of the monthly fuel price update continues the regular pricing schedule that takes place on the last day of each month. In December 2024, petrol and diesel prices hit their lowest point, holding steady through January before rising again in February, the highest so far this year with Super 98 at Dh2.74 per litre, Special 95 at Dh2.63 and Diesel at Dh2.82. The UAE deregulated fuel prices in 2015 to reflect global oil market rates, which fluctuate monthly.
