UAE and Philippines talk defense cooperation

  DUBAI - Defense cooperation was among the top topics discussed during the recent meeting of Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Hjayceelyn M. Quintana and His Excellency Mohammed bin Ahmad Al Bowardi, UAE Minister of State for Defense Affairs. The top officials met on June 26 at the UAE Ministry of Defence Building. Quintana and Al Bowardi discussed ways on how to enhance bilateral relations between the Philippines and the UAE, especially defense cooperation. They also exchanged views on regional and international developments. The Philippine ambassador was accompanied by a visiting delegation from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, composed of Colonel Ranulfo Sevilla, Group Commander of the Foreign Intelligence Force of the Armed Forces of the Philippines; Colonel John Sebastian Fuerte, Executive Officer of the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence; Colonel Allan L. Taguba, Chief of Counter Intelligence Division; and Lieutenant Colonel Joshua R. Leones PAF, Chief Personnel and Administrative Division of the Office of Fiscal Management.
