Ras Al Khaimah police have arrested a masked individual involved in a recent string of vehicle break-ins across the emirate. The suspect, who targeted parked vehicles by smashing windows, aimed to steal valuables from inside. Videos and photos of the crimes were widely circulated on social media, prompting concerns and calls for immediate police intervention. Brigadier Tariq Mohammed bin Saif, Director General of Police Operations at Ras Al Khaimah Police, said that multiple cases of car break-ins by a masked assailant had been reported in various areas. “Upon analyzing the situation, a specialized team from the Criminal Investigation and Research Administration was formed to implement a comprehensive action plan,” he said. Following a thorough investigative efforts, authorities were able to identify the individual, an Asian resident, and recover stolen items. Police also reviewed social media posts that had shared images and videos of the vandalized vehicles. These visuals were instrumental in raising public awareness but were eventually taken down to ensure the investigation’s integrity. Brigadier Bin Saif explained that the suspect confessed to the crimes after his capture and has since been handed over to the Public Prosecution for further legal procedures.
