UAE authorities have arrested three individuals involved in the murder of Moldovan-Israeli dual citizenship holder and Dubai-based rabbi Zvi Kogan. The Ministry of Interior confirmed that the suspects were apprehended on Sunday (November 24), after Kogan was reported missing by his family last Thursday. The ministry named the Uzbek suspects as Olimpi Tohirovic and Mahmoud John Abdel Rahim, both 28 years old, and Azizbek Kamilovic, 33. Initial investigations are underway and the suspects are being referred to the Public Prosecution. According to the Ministry, a specialized investigation team uncovered the crime, leading to the discovery of the victim’s body and the identification of the perpetrators. “The UAE’s commitment to ensuring the safety of its citizens, residents, and visitors is unwavering,” the Ministry stated, emphasizing the nation's zero-tolerance policy toward actions that threaten societal stability. Kogan, identified through his residency documents, was known within the Moldovan community in Dubai as a long-time resident with strong ties to local business circles. The murder has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting calls for heightened vigilance. A Moldovan Embassy spokesperson thanked the UAE authorities for their swift action and ongoing support to Kogan’s family.
