The Abu Dhabi Police warned residents on Monday (June 5) against crowding near accident sites, adding that violators face a fine of Dh1,000. The warning goes out to motorists who slow down at accident sites, as well as pedestrians who crowd these areas. According to Abu Dhabi Police, these actions cause unnecessary traffic jams and delay the arrival of emergency vehicles. Police also warned residents against taking unauthorized photos and videos of accident sites and sharing these on social media. Police said posting these photos or videos could lead to legal consequences as well as breach someone’s privacy.
