Hjayceelyn M. Quintana, the Philippine ambassador to the UAE, received the Medal of Independence of the First Order from President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in recognition of her contributions during her time in the nation to the growth of bilateral ties in several different areas. Minister of State Ahmed Bin Ali Al Sayegh gave the medal to Quintana at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation reception. Al Sayegh expressed appreciation for Quintana's contribution to advancing bilateral cooperation while she was in the Philippines during the meeting and reaffirmed the UAE's desire to strengthen ties with the Philippines in all areas. Additionally, he thanked her for her efforts and wished her luck in her future endeavors. For her part, Quintana expressed her joy at receiving the medal, which symbolizes the depth of friendship and bilateral cooperation between the UAE and the Philippines. She also praised the leadership of the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and expressed her sincere gratitude to them.
