UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a federal decree to appoint Sheikh Abdulla Bin Mohammed Al Hamed as Chairman of the National Media Office (NMO). Sheikh Abdulla has been given the rank of minister following his appointment as Chairman of the NMO. The decree, announced on Tuesday (January 16) shall be published in the official gazette and shall be effective from the date of issuance. Earlier this month, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed made a decree creating the NMO, which will carry out the UAE's media strategies. The NMO will also review media-related laws, working with media organisations to consolidate the country's media vision at home and abroad. ICA/Expat Media
